3 balls of Nuovo Jaipur<\/a> yarn for each of following six colours: cream shade no. 6576, turquoise shade no. 6550, sky blue shade no. 9667, purple shade no. 6591, fuchsia shade no. 30701, lilac shade no. 30360
\nA 4.00mm crochet hook – Yarn needle with rounded point \u2013 Matching fabric for lining<\/p>\n

STITCHES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chain (ch) \u2013 Slip stitch (ss) \u2013 Double crochet (dc) \u2013 Half treble (htr) – Treble (tr)
\nDouble Treble (dtr).
\nFront post dc (FPdc)<\/strong>: insert hook around the post of dc from front to back and again to front, yarn on hook and pull through a loop, yarn on hook and pull through the two loops on hook.
\nBack post ss (BPss)<\/strong>: insert hook around the post of ss from back to front and again to back, yarn on hook and pull through the loop on hook.
\n2ss joined together (ss2tog)<\/strong>: insert hook in a stitch, then insert hook in next stitch, yarn on hook and pull through the loops on the hook.
\nPuff stitch<\/strong>: yarn over, insert hook into a st, pull up a loop: there are 3 loops on hook, (yarn over again, insert hook into same st and pull up a loop) twice: there are 7 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, ch1 to complete puff st.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: the center flower requires more attention, while the work around it is the classic granny mesh.<\/p>\n

INSTRUCTIONS
\nFor first Granny Square
\n<\/strong>Colour 1 = sky blue – Colour 2 = cream – Colour 3 = lilac – Colour 4 = purpl – Colour 5 = turquoise
\nColour 6 = fuchsia
\nFor 2nd Granny Square
\n<\/strong>Colour 1 = lilac – Colour 2 = fuchsia – Colour 3 = cream – Colour 4 = purple – Colour 5 = turquoise
\nColour 6 = sky blu<\/p>\n

Each 26×26 (approx) Square starts from flower center.
\n<\/strong>With a 4mm hook and Colour 1, make a magic ring.
\n1st round:<\/strong> ch1 (that doesn\u2019t count as st), work 8 dc into ring, end with 1 ss into first dc, Pull yarn to close magic ring. Fasten off Colour 1. Join Colour 2 in any st of 1st round.
\n2nd round<\/strong>: (1 ss, ch3, 1 puff st, ch3 and 1 ss) into each st of previous round. Fasten off Colour 2.
\n3rd round<\/strong>: join Colour 1 in any dc of 1st round with a ss, placing the st to the right of puff st and working over 2nd round ss, * 3 dc in ch3-sp, 1 FPdc around top of puff st, 3 dc in ch3-sp, 1 ss into next dc of 1st round to the left of same puff st working over 2nd round ss, 1 ss into next dc of 1st round to the right of next puff st working over 2nd round ss; rep from * 7 more times omitting last ss . Fasten off Colour 1.
\n4th round<\/strong>: join Colour 3 in any FPdc of previous round with a ss. All sts in this round are worked in back loop only. * ch3, miss 2 dc, ss2tog (= 1 ss without closing into next dc, miss next 2 ss, 1 ss without closing into next dc, yarn on hook and pull through the loop on the hook), ch3, miss 2 dc, 1 ss in next FPdc of previous round; rep from * 7 more times working last ss into first ss. Only for Second Square, fasten off Colour 3.
\nWork next round with Colour 3 for First Square and with Colour 4 for Second Square.
