Essential but effective! <\/span><\/h2>\n

Square shape, edged armholes and two small pockets on the front: this is the trendy waistcoat, ready to be knitted!<\/span><\/p>\n

Instructions are given for size: UK 10\/12 – US 6\/8 – EU 36\/38<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For each larger size, add approx 2cm more in width to Back and 1cm more to each Front and work 2cm more in height (1cm before armhole and 1 cm after). Use one more ball of yarn for each size up.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stitches <\/span><\/h2>\n

We’ve chosen circular needles and we use it for both back and forth rows and rounds. The stitches you will be practice are:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • K3,P3 rib for borders<\/span><\/li>\n
  • garter stitch for main piece<\/span><\/li>\n
  • stocking stitch for the pockets<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Tension <\/span><\/h2>\n

    Before starting a project with knitting needles, it is very important to check the tension of the work. If it differs from stated one, you must adjust the number of stitch and needles to the centimeters or change the thickness of needles. <\/span><\/p>\n

    This is the tension for our waistcoat: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    15 sts and 27 rows measure 10cm square over g st with 5.00mm (no. 6) circular needle.<\/span><\/p>\n
