Crossed stitches for simple pattern<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The basis<\/strong> of this pattern is crossed stitches<\/strong>. Depending on arrangement, they changes shape and name, becoming chain, diamond or Aran motif.<\/p>\n

Steps are those:<\/strong> you place some stitches on hold in frontside or in backside, work the next stitches, then return to work the previous stitches you placed on hold. To make this you have to use a stitch holder or cable needle.<\/strong> It is usually small and arranged to facilitate stitches crossing. You can also use a double-pointed needle.<\/p>\n

For the sample we have chosen a cable worked in stocking stitch over 8 stitches. When you reach crossing point, work as follows:<\/strong> place the first 4 stitches onto stitch holder, on backside, knit next 4 stitches, then knit the 4 stitches from stitch holder.<\/p>\n
