Crochet bijoux – Make with us earrings and necklaces

share...

Bijoux and jewelry have always been the ideal complement to customize outfits: they brighten, enhance, revitalize. Each season has its own trends that are all the rage on the catwalks. The 2021 Spring/Summer sees the return of charms and the explosion of geometric motifs on earrings, in mini or XXL version; long chains of small or large rings crossed by beads and various pendants; and rings with pop colors coordinated to the manicure.

We love crochet bijoux!

Bijoux, in particular, focus this year on cheerfulness, on the contamination of shapes and materials, and on personalization. Inspired by fashion trends, we have designed a series of casual chic bijoux: you can easily crochet them with our yarns New Glitter and Cablé 5/Cablé 8. Are you ready to start?

What you need to prepare is simple. Just a few grams of yarn in the desired color, a crochet hook, two earrings’ hooks, transparent nail polish with glitter, beads, charms, and fancy buttons are enough to create customized earrings and necklaces!

How to crochet geometric earrings

Silver earrings

We have used New Glitter yarn and a 1.75mm crochet hook. We have added videos to help you, if necessary, in the main steps: the pattern has been executed with a yarn in different color and thickness to highlight the work.

Commence with a Magic Loop (= wrap yarn around index finger, insert hook into ring), ch3 (corresponding to first treble) and 15 trebles (there are 16 tr). Pull starting end of yarn to close Magic Loop. End this 1st round with a slip stitch (ss) into 3rd of first 3 ch.

Round 2: ch4 (corresponding to first treble and first space), * 1 tr into next st of previous round, ch1; rep from * ending with a ss into 3rd of first 4 ch.

Round 3: 1 dc into next ch1-space, * (ch3, 1 dc into next ch1-sp) 3 times, ch5 (= corner space), 1 dc into next ch1-space; rep from * 3 times, (ch3, 1 dc into next ch1-sp) 3 times, ch5, end with a ss into first dc.

Round 4: 1 dc into next ch1-space, * (ch3, 1 dc into next ch1-sp) twice, (4 tr, ch3, 4 tr) into next corner space, 1 dc into next ch1-sp; rep from * 4 times, end with a ss into first dc.

Cut off yarn and fasten off. Join earring hook into ch3-corner space.

Ecru earrings

Work in the same manner of silver earrings, using Cable yarn 5/8 and 1.75mm/1.25mm crochet hook. At end, finish work spreading nail polish on crochet earrings. Let it dry well. Join earring hook into ch3-corner space. Join a charm on opposite corner space.

Bronze earrings

Use New Glitter yarn and a 1.75mm crochet hook.

Commence with a Magic Loop, ch1 and 11 dc; end this 1st round with a slip stitch (ss).
Round 2: ch4 (corresponding to first treble and first space), * 1 tr into next st of previous round, ch1; rep from * ending with a ss into 3rd of first 4 ch.
Round 3: 1 dc into next ch1-space, * ch3, 1 dc into next ch1-sp; rep from * all round, end with ch3 and a ss into first dc.
Round 4: ch3 (corresponding to first treble), 3 tr into each ch3-sp and 1 tr into each tr of previous round; end with a ss into 3rd of first 4 ch.
Round 5: ch3 (corresponding to first treble), yarn over, insert hook into next st, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook into same st, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and draw the yarn all 3 loops on hook (= beg cluster); ch4; * (yarn over, insert hook into next st, yarn over , draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over , draw the yarn through 2 loops on hook) 3 times, yarn over and draw the yarn through all 5 loops on hook (= cluster), ch4; rep from * all round, ending with a ss into top of beg cluster. Cut off yarn and fasten off. Join earring hook into beg cluster.

The three types of earrings can be made with both of the mentioned yarns.

How to make colorful crochet necklaces

Necklaces are made with a long chain stripe decorated by beads, charms and buttons, inserted at regular or different distances. We use Cablé 8 yarn and a 1.25mm crochet hook.

Before starting work, insert the desired garnishes into yarn. Work chain stitches until to preferred point, push the garnish close to hook, chain one to enclose garnish in the work. Continue in this manner, inserting all garnishes on same side, until the desired length is reached. At end, join with a slip stitch (ss) into first chain stitch, to form a ring. Cut off yarn. Fasten off. Using same yarn, or metallic thread, complete necklaces with small tassels as trimmings.
