The journey into the 2021 Spring/Summer Fashion collection continues. Our guide will be colors, and in particular a vibrant selection of pastel shades. We enter in fact the narrow streets of two villages overlooking the Amalfi Coast and the Italian Riviera respectively.
Positano – In the land of colors
A “wall” of colorful houses clinging to each other. The turquoise sea in front and the mountains behind. Winding streets that smell of lemons, brooms and bougainvillea. Stores and boutiques with colorful linen kaftans and sandals, made by skilled artisans. We land in Positano, ‘the vertical city‘, a pearl of the Amalfi Coast. Here everything is color, calm and serenity.
Even Positano yarn reflects the kaleidoscope of natural beauty enclosed in this corner of Italy. Composed of 72% cotton and 28% matt viscose, it is in fact a multicolor thread with a surprising effect thanks to the shades that blend into each other. Try it to believe! We made a crochet outfit composed of a swimsuit and a beach cover-up: net stitches, pineapple stitches, horizontal and vertical openwork… a kaleidoscope of patterns for a kaleidoscope of colors!
Portofino – Refined pastel brushstrokes
Pastel-hued houses hug the coastline, protected behind by a lush promontory. A mosaic of colors that continues through the narrow streets full of fashionable boutiques. Yachts moored in the harbor and luxury hotels. Welcome to Portofino, a small village on the Italian Riviera, where you can breathe elegance and refinement.
Even Portofino yarn takes up pastel shades of the coastal village to make elegant Riviera looks. Composed of cotton (70%), shiny viscose (20%) and linen (10%) it is a concentrate of lightness, freshness and delicate printed effects. Check out that on the most classic and simple of summer models: a T-shirt knitted in garter stitch. The refined touches are the open shoulders and a very high cuff.
If you want to try mix & match looks, combine Portofino with Taormina yarn: the two items, merging together, create unique accessories and garments, all in the name of design and natural style!
