Knitted accessories, key items for autumn wardrobe

This week, spices are back in the spotlight in the Lana Gatto AW yarn selection. With them, you can easily make very practical knitted accessories. The first yarn we present is Pepe: spice references are in the preciousness of the fibers – Merino Wool and Alpaca – and in the dark tones present in the color chart. Then there’s Zenzero, a blend of 5 fibers in warm melange colors. And finally there is Cumino, a wool blend with cheerful and luminous printed effects.

Knitted accessories, three models for you

The three selected yarns are super inviting for knitting seasonal accessories to keep on hand. So, here’s the first project, a warm and soft cape to knit with Pepe. The stitches chosen? They are stocking stitch and K2, P2 rib, everything else is a progressive balance of decreases!

Then we move on to a classic and colorful poncho with fringes made with Ginger. The model is the traditional one: trapeze shape, a cartridge stitch that combines garter st and reverse stocking st, high neck and very high fringes on all sides!

The last one, but only in order of presentation, is a very practical ribbed scarf with XXL fringes made with Cumino. The work is easy: cast on the stitches, work in Fisherman’s rib until the preferred length, then tie the fringes on the short sides. What could be simpler than that?
