Sporty jumpers, autumn basic garments

share...

Here come the first knit basics for autumn: the sporty jumpers. In different types and colors, they are key garments to keep in your wardrobe at all times.

In the following versions we have paired them with cable patterns and two novelty yarns. The first comes from Fashion Collection and is Chamonix, a light, sturdy blown yarn in bright degrade colors. Its fiber blend is alpaca, wool, and polyamide. The second, on the other hand, is part of the Luxury Collection. It is Catena Soft, a light monochrome chain that gives volume without being bulky. Here the fiber combination is, instead, cotton, extrafine merino wool, and baby alpaca.

So, let’s start with the jumper with diagonal crossed motif. The stitches used are the fundamental ones, stocking and reverse stocking stitch plus moss stitch. The challenging work is on the front. There are triple cables with alternate and interchange stitches distributing themselves across the entire width. Back and sleeves, on the other hand, are in stocking stitch, while the hinted collar is K2, P2 rib.

Let us now turn to the hoodie jumper. Here cables occupy the entire texture in regular succession, including that of the hood. Offsetting the difficulty of execution is the straight-line model, without shaping sides and armholes.
