Yarn balls, a journey inside manufacturing process

When you have a knitting or crochet project and you’re looking for yarn, you almost always buy it in balls. But have you ever thought about what is behind their production? Balling, as the process is technically called, is the final step in the long industry chain that leads from fibers to the finished product available on the store.

In the video below we captured our machines in action. One of the most important part is steaming, which make the yarns even bulkier. The different steps, followed by specialized personnel, lead to the packaging of 10 balls-packs of Super Soft which, properly boxed, are ready to reach our retailers.
