A new project is ready for you! The cloudy blanket, ethereal and airy, chooses soft Mohair Royal yarn. Over the next three weeks we will post 6 different knitting lace patterns, which we will use to make it up.
We start with the first 2 motifs, worked in light blue No. 2119. They form respectively delicate bells and well-defined zig zags. Each motif always measures about 15x15cm.

Increase and Decreases Photo Tutorials
Here are photo tutorials of the techniques used for increase and decreases. To show steps better, they are worked with a thicker yarn, always using two strands of yarn held together.
TUTORIAL 1
YFD (Yarn Forward) before K1
Wrap the yarn around right needle from back to front, then bring the yarn to the back to knit the next stitch (= 1 increase).
TUTORIAL 2
K2TOG (Knit Two Together)
Insert right needle into the first 2 sts on the left needle at the same time from left to right.
Knit two sts together as follows: wrap the yarn around the needle counter-clockwise by going in from behind, then pull the working yarn through both sts at the same time.
You will obtain 1 decrease slanting to the right.
TUTORIAL 3
SK1P (Slip, Knit, Pass)
Slip 1 stitch
knit 1 stitch
pass slipped st over K1.
You will obtain 1 decrease slanting to the left.
