Stitches

We’ve chosen circular needles and we use it for both back and forth rows and rounds. The stitches you will be practice are:

  • K3,P3 rib for borders
  • garter stitch for main piece
  • stocking stitch for the pockets

Tension

Before starting a project with knitting needles, it is very important to check the tension of the work. If it differs from stated one, you must adjust the number of stitch and needles to the centimeters or change the thickness of needles.

This is the tension for our waistcoat:

15 sts and 27 rows measure 10cm square over g st with 5.00mm (no. 6) circular needle.
