At the H+H Fair in Cologne, Germany, Indorama Ventures’ company Filatura Tollegno 1900 showcased its star yarns from the autumn/winter 23/24 collection.
Lana Gatto’s (a brand managed under Tollegno) 4th participation at H+H closed on a positive note thanks to the valuable feedback collected from international buyers in attendance. In addition to the quality of the yarns displayed in a ‘sensorial’ area set up with display cases, the attention of the participants was also captured by the design of the stand: 80 square meters of pure Italian style and green sensibility. This was confirmed not only by the use of LED lighting and wooden floors, the choice of natural colors – from white to dove gray – but also the gadgets distributed to old and new customers.
‘To give further strength to the commitment that the brand has always reserved for environmental protection, we have focused on 100% ecological gifts for our customers: water bottles, cotton caps, jute and cotton bags, pens produced from recycled cardboard and straw, and notepads in recycled paper. Customers have appreciated these very much, as well as the opportunity to touch our most used fibers such as extra-fine merino wool, super kid mohair, baby alpaca, camel, and cashmere and silk, whose excellence has been amplified by the choice to place them in showcases. As if they were works of art’, says Luca Sapellani, Hand Knitting Sales Manager of Lana Gatto. ‘We are very satisfied with our participation, a useful driving force to give further impetus to the worldwide distribution of our products’, concludes Sapellani.
Lana Gatto is a brand managed under Tollegno since 1904 and is the oldest hand knitting producer brand in the world. In the past, the brand mainly focused on domestic sales, but the decision has been taken to also promote the products abroad. For this reason, it became very important to exhibit at the H+H fair in Cologne. Export is about 75% of the total of the sales.
Currently Lana Gatto is selling its products to yarn shops (mainly in Italy) and to distributors (especially abroad).
