2022 Spring/Summer experiments the charm of second-skin effect garments. Trendy dresses, in particular, are short, enveloping, transparent, and shiny. Fabrics are soft and fluctuating, ready to interpret the personality of who wear it.
On the catwalks mini and maxi sequins triumph, glitter often combined with feathers – another trend of the season – and lurex on super bodycon dresses with intense colors. The see-through effect also plays a key role in daring and exuberant looks, often in floral and printed textures. Hues are bright, but there are also pastel shades, very much appreciated for elegant formal outfits.
Even the new models of the SS2022 Lana Gatto Knitting Yarns Collection are a declination of fashion trends. The first proposal is a crochet dress, with openwork texture worked with Fresh yarn, 100% Linen. Shape recalls the Twenties look. Stitches used are a delightful filet stitch for the bodice and a joyful shell stitch for the skirt.
The second proposal is, instead, a sparkling knitted dress worked with Muffin yarn, where Cotton meets Recycled Polyester full of tiny sequins. The basic stitch is reverse stocking stitch. Garter stitch outlines borders, while a double chain forms the very thin shoulder straps.
